Anderson .Paak and Cordae are turning years of chemistry into a full collaborative album.
The pair announced Heavy Is the Crown on August 19. The album is scheduled for release October 23 via Apeshit, Mass Appeal and Empire.
.Paak and Cordae first became major collaborators through “RNP,” from Cordae’s 2019 debut album The Lost Boy. They later reunited for songs including “Two Tens,” building a partnership that mixes Cordae’s precise rap writing with .Paak’s drumming, singing and funk-rooted production style.
Heavy Is the Crown will be the duo’s first complete album together. The project follows years of guest appearances and shared singles between the two artists.
A complete track list was not part of the initial announcement, so additional song and guest details should be treated as unconfirmed until the artists or labels publish them.
