DOWN has confirmed its long-awaited new studio album, Volume V.
The New Orleans heavy metal supergroup will release the album November 20 through Nuclear Blast Records. It is the band’s first full-length studio album since 2007’s Over the Under.
The announcement arrived with lead single “Blood Oath” and an official music video. Nuclear Blast and DOWN’s official site both confirmed the release date and video.
Volume V includes 10 tracks and features a guest appearance from King Diamond on “Merciful Fate.”
The current lineup features Philip H. Anselmo, Pepper Keenan, Kirk Windstein, Pat Bruders and Jimmy Bower.
The album was produced by Eddie Mapp and DOWN, mixed by Dave Fortman and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.
